Teacher sacrificed 19-year-old daughter to get a son

Bhandara (Maharashta, India), SVM News, August 31, 2007: A school teacher of 55-years-old allegedly killed his 19-year-old college going daughter on August 29 at village Kudegaon, which is about 50 miles from Bhandara in Maharashtra state of India.
Raibhan Tembhurne, the school teacher killed and buried his elder daughter Ratna as a human sacrifice on Wednesday evening alongwith his two wives Reema and Sharda by the instruction of a black magic petitioner for getting a son.
Raibhan, father of three daughters have been craving for a son. A woman priest, identified as Damayanta Naktode told him that he would have to sacrifice his eldest daughter in order to propitiate the deities if he wanted his wish granted.
Villagers told the police that Raibhan was performing a black-magic ritual at home for the last 20 days with the help of Damayanta Naktode.
The matter came to light by a neighbour, Baliram Brahmankar, noticed that the family members were bathing Ratna, undressed. Startled, he went to his home to find that Ratna was actually dead and a grave had been dug in the front yard. When he enquired with Raibhan, the latter shouted back at him and reportedly told that Ratna was his daughter; he could do whatever he wished with her.
A shocked Brahmankar rushed to the village and reported the matter to Sarpanch Gangaram Raut and other villagers, who in turn tipped the Lakhandur police. Around 1 pm, three cops visited the village, but by that time, Raibhan had buried the body.
Bhandare police have arrested seven people on Thursday, including Raibhan, his two wives, the witchcraft and three others who dug the grave.
Raibhan Tembhurne, who had been teaching in the village for the last 20 years, was a superstitious person and often conducted religious rituals at home, police sources said to the Salem Voice Ministries (SVM) News Service. He even insisted his family members shave their heads and remain bald, according to villagers.
When the police arrived, Raibhan Tembhurne reportedly told them: "Present age is Kaliyug (the age of Kali, who is a deity). We are on the threshold of Satyug (the age of truth). Divine forces were trying to govern Ratna's soul. She yielded to them".
As word spread, villagers gathered outside the Tembhurne house, where he and his family remained locked in. When the police exhumed the grave, they found Ratna's body draped in saffron and blue.
Yielding to pressure from an irate mob that had gathered from the surrounding villages of the district, police exhumed Ratna's body and sent it for post-mortem. Earlier in the day, the far outnumbered police force had to flee the spot as cane charge, teargas and firing in the air failed to control the 1,500-strong, stone-throwing mob.
Raibhan's second daughter, Asmita, 16, and the youngest Reena, 12, are under detention with shock.
Just four days ago, on August 26, a tribal man and three women were brutally beheaded by a group of villagers in the name of witchcraft at Pratappur village in Balasore district in Orissa state of India. Only Jesus can make them free from the bondages and supersitions. Once again Salem Voice Ministries requesting all the children of God to pray for this people very seriously. They are the blood of our blood and the flesh of our flesh. No one should be going to astray, but to be saved by the redeeming love of Jesus Christ Pray that these brothers and sisters shall be sealed by the precious blood of Jesus Christ.
Lord Jesus said whatever we ask in His name will be given. No need of any sacrifices for it. Because He already sacrificed on the Cross of Calvary for every human beings. Just believe and every blessings will be added unto us.
